It was shocking how badly prepared they all were. I wouldn't employ any of them.

It's the two nodding heads by his side who intrigue me and the fact that the would be apprentices don't seem to realise that Sir A just wants yes men and women when they have these classic examples in front of them.

Throughout my career I have always considered an interview a two way street. You need to find out if the organisation is the sort where you can fit in and be effective and happy just as much as the employer needs to know that. Alan Sugar does not allow the apprentices to interview him. That should be enough to let most of them realise this is not a man many people can work with unless they are devoid of ego.

Wonder if he would like a 59 year old apprentice with as much ego as him?

Anyone with any experience of people at all understands that the competitors in 'The Apprentice' are the worst kind of self-centred business school graduate types selected by TV researchers for distinct and obvious flaws that will entertain and enrage the viewer. As for the judges, who wouldn't take the money on offer?
It does not surprise one bit that these would-be apprentices had failed to do any homework.
