Meet Chris Kaday

My approach

Chris KadayWhat you get from me is a straight ‘bottom line’ assessment of where I think you are and what you need to do next.  I have the uncanny knack of identifying the key issues and if I had a pound for the number of times people have said ‘you have hit the nail on the head’ I would be twice as wealthy.  Funnily enough very little of what I say and do is in the category of big ideas and much is not new.  My engagement often involves giving people the confidence and criteria for making decisions that they know they should have made many months or even years earlier.  I also strongly believe in preparation and consideration often before embarking on even a small interaction.  This approach can often produce dramatically improved results.

“Every month there are at least five great suggestions you have given that have increased the company's turnover or improved it's running in one way or another. I appreciate being able to call upon your versatility and willingness to help. You stretch me and the business.”

The companies and individuals I mentor and support are demonstrably growing both commercially and personally.  We have isolated the barriers and issues so they know what to overcome or avoid.  They also have clear goals and are working systematically towards achieving them.  It is not always plain sailing and they sometimes arrive at meetings feeling, frustrated, overburdened and weary.  They invariably leave fully focused, energised and ready for more.  The more open they are, the more I can respond from my experience and intuition.

Chris KadayWho I work with

My clients range from start ups and relatively small businesses to world class global corporations.  In fact my only requirement is that the conditions are right for change and that the individuals mind set or the company politics are not going to get in the way of the priorities.

"Chris is a breath of fresh air - a blast of energy, enthusiasm and experience that blows away the cobwebs of individual or corporate lethargy."

Of course businesses can differ hugely but over the years I have discovered that the basic requirements for achieving commercial success are largely the same.  My clients currently include such diverse businesses as a direct marketing company, an IT training organisation, a web based information service, a PR company and a West End theatre production outfit.

How I engage

Chris KadayAfter all these years my passion for business remains undiminished and I am constantly on the look out for stimulating people and interesting opportunities.  I engage in a variety of ways depending on your needs.

  • A free response - I will always reply with some thought or added value to any business issue you send me.  I am fascinated by business problem solving so how can I resist?  You can also get some good ideas and tips from my blog and publications.
  • A client - I work directly with relatively few clients at any one time.  My objective is always to make the maximum input in the minimum time and cost.  I charge commercially competitive fees and sometimes take a variable on results or even put my own skin in the game by investing
  • A board appointment – I have an ongoing relationship with a number of businesses as a board member or chairmen.  Here my role is to improve focus and clarity, challenge, encourage and add my extensive experience and knowledge.
  • An investment – Like any entrepreneur I am always on the look out for a good business investment.  However I only invest in businesses where I am actively involved so you get my money and my mind.

Do we have a match?

I look for situations where there is a good match between my skills and interest and my prospect’s outlook and needs.

"It's always a pleasure, and certainly never dull working with Chris."

Our relationship will produce maximum results if:

  • You are genuinely passionate about what you do or want to do
  • You give our partnership a top priority
  • You are really up for making the necessary change
  • You are fully open and do not immediately ‘block’ new ideas
  • You are not defensive when fairly challenged
  • You will actively implement what we agree
  • You will honour your commitments and timescales
  • You will respond promptly to all communications
  • You know how to celebrate or are prepared to learn this essential practice

These are good maxims for building any business whether or not I am supporting you.
